Chapter 13
I went to the bathroom, took a shower and put on what I normally wear, Jean, a top and my tennis shoes, I know nothing glamorous, but this way I feel good.
Once I was ready, I went downstairs for breakfast and found breakfast already served.
“ Good morning, Dad," I said as I headed to the refrigerator for some water.
“ Hi honey, how are you doing? “ he asks me. I take a seat next to him to start breakfast.
“ A little tired, aren't you?
“ I told you not to stay awake; I'm as happy as a clam.
“He wrinkled his nose and said, "Dad, he's happy as a worm.
“ What's so happy about an earthworm?
“ I don't know, Dad, but what's so happy about a partridge? “ I ask him.
We both stood there thinking for a while.
