Charlotte’s POV

I got back to my room earlier than I should have today. I finished all my work so I could leave on time. Before I left the kitchen, I informed Jade that I would need some time to get myself together so she shouldn’t come to my room to bother me.

I had been plagued by the memory of my aunt standing across the road and glaring at me since the day that it happened.

I didn’t know why it troubled me so much. I had thought about it over and over again. Was she really looking for me, or was she here for another business? What could be her reason for coming all the way to Cordena?
