Chapter 72

Preeda’s POV

I took hasty steps to my daughter’s suite for the third time today. I had been searching for her for a while, and I was getting worried. I knew Dana wasn’t a little child, and she could go anywhere without necessarily telling me, but I had a bad feeling. She would have said something if she was going to be away for a few days!

I opened the door, and I was sorely disappointed. She was still not back from wherever she had gone to. I started to panic.

Something was wrong, I could tell. I was surprised no one in the entire castle had raised the alarm since she hadn’t been around for a while. Did they really not care about her at all? I noticed a handkerchief close to her pillow on the bed. The room was in a bit of disarray. Dana wasn’t exactly the tidy and clean one, but something just made me go check the handkerchief.

It was stained, but not so seriously. She had been crying.
