Eloise’s POV
Thor and I discussed it for a few more hours. He was dumbstruck, unable to believe what I had revealed to him. I hadn’t believed it myself, too, when I found out.
The diary was the start of my unraveling the mystery that was my daughters’ deaths. I couldn’t tell Corie about the diary because I wasn’t sure of who to trust or what to believe anymore. I had personally also noticed some weird behavior from Corie.
We took the trip to Cordena. I hadn’t planned to go there earlier on, but my instincts kept pushing me to. So I went. And I found Charlotte.
When Corie told me that she was responsible for the deaths of my girls, I was blinded with rage. I was so determined to make her pay that, at some point, I completely forgot about the diary.
So the interrogation went on, and then.....then the housekeeper said something to me that stuck. She said it was possible that Charlotte was innocent, and if she was, by making her pay for a crime she did not
