Alpha Boris’s POV

I got back to my pack and waited in my suite for midnight. I had sent word to my second in command, Fidel, to handle the activities of the pack while I was away. Not like there was anything to handle. The hottest case we had gotten in the pack in a long time was that of the dead children of Eloise and Charlotte’s capture.

Thor had sent for me. In his message, he had something important he wished to share with me. That could wait till when Giloed had finally sacrificed the girl that he was here to save and taken his powers from him. He’d never see it coming.

I had asked my men to put a lookalike in the room where Charlotte was kept when the time had come. The lookalike had been brought in already. The only person allowed into Charlotte’s room was Thor’s Beta, Kane. But he didn’t stay there all day long. He usually went away once it was close to midnight and returned the following morning. That would be a perfect time to switch the girls and leave.<
