Kieran’s POV
“Where’s Tobias?”
“I’m here,” he answered, running up to us, breathless, sweat glistening on his forehead. He looked like he’d sprinted across the entire territory.
I opened my mouth to question him, but his voice slid into my head through our link: “I’ll tell you later. Not now, it’s dangerous.”
My jaw locked as I gave him a hard stare, and he just nodded, silently reinforcing the message.
“Do the elders know about this yet?” I asked, keeping my voice even.
“Not yet. I was waiting for you to return before telling them.” He answered.
Lilith stirred then and groaned while trying to sit up. When she saw me, her eyes widened and she cried out, “Kieran!”
I didn’t move. I just stared at her. Fenrir was already on the verge of shifting. And I was very tempted to give him the reins.
