Chapter 34
Saffron’s POV
Bang. Bang. Bang.
“Saffron, open up,” Tobias whispered, his voice sounding hoarse. Why was he whispering?
I was on the couch, half-covered with the fuzzy grey blanket he brought with him earlier. I got up and opened the door, and Tobias barged into the cabin like something was chasing him. “We have to go,” he said, with no explanation whatsoever.
I blinked at him, then it hit me, Magnus must have found me again. “What’s going on?” My voice started breaking, the thought of going back to that monster. “Has he found me? I told you it was dangerous to stay.” I grabbed a hoodie and was about to bolt when he caught my arm.
“Saffron, slow down. Nobody has found you, but it’s dangerous for you to stay here longer.” He said, then looked down and took a deep breath, trying to steady himself.
