Chapter 42
Magnus’s POV
I have been watching her in the shadows since that day, watching if she ever spoke, and soon I wanted to see her every day. I visited Mooncrest Pack every month to see. I watched her grow every year and saw her spend her birthday every year in the attic room crying.
On her 12th birthday, I saw her shift for the first time and then get locked up again in the attic after being beaten up by her worthless excuse of a father. Fathers are the worst things in the world; they don’t deserve us. It took so much for me not to go in and strangle him right there and then, but I was more angry that she gave up her voice to protect that pathetic male.
I wished she would just speak so I would use that as an excuse to kill him and save her, but she never spoke. I decided to marry her when she turned twenty and save her, keep her by my side where no one will ever lay their hands on her, and finally hear her talk.
I have imagined how beautiful that day would
