Feasting.

Elara’s POV

As evening began to set in, painting the sky outside in shades of orange and purple, Alex appeared at the door. He knocked lightly on the doorframe.

“Sorry to interrupt, Alpha, Luna,” he said, looking a bit hesitant to break up the moment. He greeted everyone with a nod. “Good evening, everyone.”

“Evening, Alex. What’s up?” Kieran asked.

“Alpha, we are all ready. The feast is ready. Everyone’s gathered in the clearing. Since the Great Hall is... well, you know... we set up tables and bonfires outside. The whole pack is there. They’re waiting for you.”

A buzz of excitement went through the room.

“A feast, that sounds wonderful,” Selene said, her eyes shining. “You all go. Have fun and celebrate.”

“You’re not coming, Mum?” Saffron asked, her face falling a little.

“Not tonight, sweetie. Mira said I should rest one more night,” Selene said gently. “But I’ll be there in spirit. Now go, enjoy yourselves.”<
