The wedding.
Kieran’s POV
“Relax, Kieran. You’re going to wear a hole in the floor.”
Tobias’s voice was calm, but I could hear the amusement in it. I ignored him, my thoughts fixed on the ornate doors at the end of the grand hall. I paced back and forth in my office, the polished stone floor feeling slick under my boots. I clenched my fists, but sweat still slicked my palms. I’d faced enemies with a steady grip, but today? I couldn’t stop shaking.
“You’re shaking.”
“I can’t help it,” I muttered, my voice rougher than usual. My wolf, Fenrir, was no help. He was a whirlwind of a storm in my head, a mix of frantic joy and pure, unadulterated nerves. He was as useless as a kit today, prancing around in my mind, howling with a giddiness I hadn’t known he possessed.
Tobias laughed, the sound warm and low. “I told you, you’re more nervous than she is. You’ve been fidgeting all week. The entire pack knows it.”
