“As much as I appreciate the fact that you have....”

I did not wait for him to get up, I spun around and began to walk towards the sound we heard.

I could hear him try to get to me from the rear, but I ignored him, and Kits kept strutting forward.

“Slow down, you are not as strong as you think or as you want to be yet.”

“Who’s that?” I asked as I suddenly stopped. I could clearly hear the voice come from within me, but I stared nonetheless.

“Who else but your wolf?”

“I’ve got my wolf.” I merely said, although I was so happy that my dreams were finally coming to pass.

“What sort of question is that? What wolf doesn’t have a wolf?”

“I was wolfless...” I have never been able to communicate with her, even though I could shift.

“You were an exception, you have always been. And, practically, you were not exactly a wolf until you owned up to the fact that you were not afraid to stand up for your own.”<
