Chapter 58

Layla's POV

Maya is such good company that when she asked me to go get a little bit of rest, I almost went with her but then, I realized that I have missed my appointment with the pack’s midwives, so I headed to the healer’s house to see if we could reschedule or if she would still be able to attend to me.

I knew that no matter what time I showed up there, she would attend to me and as much as I would like to sit back and not go there, I know if Nate found out I would be in real trouble, so I had no choice.

I heard voices inside as it made me knock, and as much as I would like to wait till she was done, I knew she would know already that I was at the door so I knocked and she smiled as soon as she saw me but my near smile turned to a frown as I saw Elena with her.

“Greetings to you, Luna” They both greeted and I nodded as I took a seat on the empty chair in the room.

“It is nice to be here with you.” Elena whispered.

“Hmmm… is it?
