Amelia POV

Gabriel talked to the massive Robert for a few more minutes about human beings she didn't understand and matters she didn't understand. All she did know was that Gabriel had arrived right here looking forward to something to take place as a end result of him leaving until now and not returning. But that what he was studying was worse than he'd thought.

Very few females. Very little offspring. The Chimera in Thana death out.

She'd never considered his face so haggard. It was as if he'd aged ten years in as many minutes.

But soon, Gabriel was urging them both to wait whilst he grabbed their bags from the cave. Amelia stood in the cold morning air next to man so tall she eyeballed his navel, and tried not to be awkward.

Which was when she discovered that if Robert hadn't been so massive she would have described him as “adorable.”

“Gabriel's heart sings because you are here, Amelia ,” the man rumble
