The case was baffling indeed. Except for the discrepancies in the testimonies of the suspects and the fact that beyond doubt Lord Robert had been murdered and his death staged as a suicide there was no concrete evidence to nail any suspect.

“I have released them, your Majesty but they are not to leave the capital until the murder case has been resolved,” I said to the Alpha.

“You need more time to investigate?” he quipped.

“Yes, your Majesty. I believe I shall find out more in due time but I want to request that you grant me permission to keep Lord Robert's estate under lock until the investigations are complete,” I told him.
