Chapter 30
Amareux was five minutes late to dinner and as he hurried into the Palace, he made sure to be discreet as he tiptoed towards the steps.
He had pulled off his shoe earlier on, as he was about to go through the doors of the palace. He was so lucky that Dallas wasn't sitting by the door. He didn't have the energy to begin to answer questions.
Finally, he was at the door of his room. He slid his hand into his pocket to bring out his key. After fondling his pocket for seconds, he felt no jingle. No cold feel of metal against his skin.
Amareux checked his other pocket and was suprised to find out that it wasn't there. He stopped himself and began to wonder if he left it at the cave or it dropped somewhere. His brain couldn't come up with anything.
"I am done for. Father mustn't meet me here." Amareux muttered.
He was already late for dinner and now, he was searching for his keys? What a wonderful way to end the day.
