Chapter 44

"Feels good to be back home." Nicolette sighed as soon as they stepped into the Palace.

"Yeah, feels good. I need to sleep." Amareux said, after agreeing with her.

" Alright, goodnight. We'll see tomorrow morning."

They bade each other goodnight and went to their respective rooms. Amareux was really tired from having to thread those paths. Taking a shower was really hard, but he dragged himself into the bathroom and took a quick bath before retiring to bed.

Early the next morning, Amareux woke up really late. As late as one in the afternoon. When he opened his eyes, he thought it was still daybreak. Climbing out of his bed to pull his curtains open, he was met with midday sun and that made him gasp.

"How long have I been sleeping?" He muttered to himself.

He was glad that his father and Dallas weren't home. It would have been a story for another day.
