Chapter 46

Amareux didn't have lunch with them, Nicolette and Primrose included. They just sat at the dining and nibbled at the shortcake biscuits that Naomi served them to keep their mouth busy.

Rach, Naomi and Arayah ate. Arayah was ravenous, so she ate real fast and huge, pushing her plate forward and requesting for another once she was done.

Naomi smiled at Arayah and pushed back her chair. She picked Arayah's platter and went to the pot that sat on the cooker, dishing out gravy and returning to Arayah. She went to the bread bin and got four more slices of bread, making sure that Arayah ate to her fill.

Rach, mouth full, turned to her sister who was pulling of Primrose's sweats. The little baby was sweating and it was making her uncomfortable.

"Nicolette."

"Yeah?" Nicolette replied without looking at her sister. She was focused on focusing on the little girl.

"Do you think I should ask Gale out on a date?"
