"Amareux, why do we have to be on the road by this time?" June asked.

They had left the palace an hour ago and it was already dark. There were no vehicles on the road and this put June out for a bit.

Gambino was driving and Amareux sat beside his friend. He twisted in his seat and smiled at June who was frowning a bit. "Are you upset because we're going to the palace by this time or upset by the fact that you'll be leaving your father and siblings behind."

June shrugged. "Kind of. It has been so long since I saw my father this happy. Staying with him for the whole day tomorrow wouldn't matter, you know?"

Amareux chuckled. "Why didn't you say that back at the palace? I and Gambino would have returned without you and whenever you were ready to come home to me, you would." He asked.
