I was desperate. I tried to concentrate and use some spell in my favor, but I was so shocked to know that I didn’t feel any significant change in my body to know that there was a baby there, that I lost all the time I would have needed to defend myself with magic. I felt hatred, and I felt pain, just like my pack. Their advantage was that they could transform, but they were unconscious. I wouldn’t be able to do anything but scream, and it all was useless.
For a moment, I wished that group of vampires was around, that they could rip my father’s head off. But they weren’t around. Certainly, all the supernatural creatures that were smart had hidden themselves so as not to be affected by the gas. Or maybe that sound that only the werewolves could hear was also hurting the other creatures, which had caused them to hide.
“If you ever felt any affection for my mother or for me, please let me go,” I asked in a pleading tone.
