Edna POV

While we were eating, we didn’t say anything to each other. Alpha Darrel was so into his phone while I was pretending to also be busy with my phone.

“Did you call mom today?” I asked him and he turned to look at me surprised. I knew he would be because we don’t get along very well.

“She called when I wasn’t with my phone, then I called back when I saw her calls.” He explained it to me. I never added an explanation so I was surprised he was explaining everything to me.

I raised my head to look at him after hearing his explanation. “Did she ask when we were returning to the pack?” I asked curiously because I could remember he gave her a reply that sort of relates to that.

“Yes, my reply was vague.” I was surprised to hear what he said because why would he give her a vague reply when we are clearly returning tomorrow.
