Chapter 11. Had To Be Done

I didn’t know there was a window pane that had a comfortable cushion on it till last night. I felt dead, and I was sure I looked the same way I felt.

I couldn’t bring myself to sleep a wink last night. My head was busy, and my thoughts were so loud, I couldn’t find a single peace or quiet that would have allowed me to sleep.

I thought hard and long, but as usual, I ended up with nothing and just more rage in my system than the previous day.

I wanted to give myself a little bit of hope and say that I could break the bond, but deep down, I knew it was just a wish upon a star.

“Are you still mad at me?” Violet whispered timidly, and it made me feel bad.

“I could never stay mad at you, and you know that. We are one, and right now, we only have each other, so how could I possibly be mad at you?” I sighed.
