Chapter 38. Let's Treat Him

Lily and Elena sat with me, and we talked about different things the entire time, or rather, they talked and I listened because my mind was somewhere else, and they had to keep snapping me out of my thoughts that I kept getting lost in.

“Tell us what you were like in your old pack. How were things like over there?” Lily nudged me when she realised I was slipping again

“It was fine, I guess. We did things pretty normally,” I said, uninterested. My ears were perked up, trying to catch any familiar sound that would tell me they were here, but nothing.

“Come on. You can't tell me you did everything the same with us. There must have been things you guys did over there that we don't do here,” Elena pushed. She came around to sit on my other side like Lily, and now they were crowding me. I was almost at the point of ripping their necks if they didn't leave me alone.
