“Father, is this you?” Kusandra called again, sobbing in his father's clothes. She clutched onto him tightly, as if he might disappear at any moment. It was evident that she didn't want to lose him again.

As much as Rey Reed wanted to push her away, he couldn't bring himself to do it. He could feel the hurt and grief in the girl's heart. He could feel his emotions, and he couldn't bring himself to hurt her more. Instead of acting harshly, he allowed her to cry her eyes out.

Kusandra held Rey Reed for several minutes until she was satisfied. She disengaged from the hug, held his shoulder, and looked at his face deeply. She stared at him for several minutes without blinking, and she could see the resemblance on their faces.

She sniffed again and buried her head in Rey Reed's chest, inhaling the scent of his body, and surprisingly, it calmed her down.
