Chapter 5
Franni’s POV
I was awakened by the early morning sun gleaming brightly towards my face, and without anyone telling me, I knew it was no other person than my brother. If I had another opportunity, I would have pleaded with the moon goddess to pair me with another wolf while Junk got paired with my brother.
"Rey!" I shrieked out his name as the sun infiltrated deep into my eyes, which influenced me so extensively. I jerked out of bed and sped toward the window in an attempt to close the curtains, but he used his telekinesis power and placed a stool in my path. I collided with it and landed flat on the ground while he burst into uncontrollable laughter.
Sighing in frustration, I stood up gently, rubbing my hand on the spot I used to hit the stool, and dragged my silly a** towards the widow. I tiptoed a little so my hand could reach the curtain, and then I drew it together and gave him a death glare. If eyes could kill, he should have been many feet underground by now.
I super speed towards him to take my retribution, but he evaporates, or should I call it invisibility, and I end up colliding with the door frame while he ends up disparaging me again.
"I couldn't believe a puny being ended up knocking my sister out on the battlefield," he mocked, and I could feel that he was using it to aggravate me.
I just scoff and get up from the ground while rubbing my forehead with my palm.
"I guess you should be ashamed of yourself," Junk uttered. Well, I wasn't surprised. That is part of the reason why I am trying to dump her—only if I had the power. She loves to irritate me with Rey, but she can't accept half of what Rey is doing to hurt me.
"You can't compare yourself with me; we are different, remember."
"Shut up!" I yell at her. "Can't you behave normally for once?"
"When I am talking, you keep quiet." She snapped back at me. "Learn how to respect elders." I could feel that she was rolling her eyes mentally.
"If you had interfered earlier, there is no way she would have ended up beating us," I clarified to her.
"See who is finally accepting that I am stronger than her vampire and witch side?"
"I do not accept you, and I can do better without you, Junk, Virus!" I yell at her while clicking my tongue in the process. "I am just trying to protect you from dying young."
"Did you just call me a virus?" she inquired. "I am older than you reckon, and I don't even remember our age again. So tasting what death looks like is a good idea."
"Yes, I called you a virus," I growled in declaration while nodding my head to support my words. "You are nothing but an unnecessary virus."
The idiot replied, "Maybe you should have let us die so we could go our separate ways. But don't worry; I am infecting you with that virus soon."
"Look who's talking to her lazy wolf that couldn't help her in her time of need," Rey said as he moved toward my bed.
He sat on it and covered his body with the duvet.
And that is it. I could feel Junk growling in anger. That means one thing: She is about to go crazy. She hates being called weak or any sort of name by an outsider, except by me. Nonetheless, she always makes sure I face the consequences.
"Let me show you what it means to be weak!" Junk roared out.
Before Rey could decipher the meaning of those words, my wolf took control without giving any sign and dashed toward Rey with full force. The idiot even accesses my witch power, and her hand blazes up in fire as she grabs the unaware Rey by the neck and slams him hard on the ground three times before she finally tosses him over the entrance.
Rey stood up, looking a little bit hurt, while posing for battle stances.
"Franni! Rey! What are you both doing? So you're going to burn this room again, as you both did to the other one." My father, Alpha Henry, screams and runs toward us.
"He started it first by mocking Junk and pissing her," I answered my father while he looked at me with shock for calling my wolf Junk. It's not that this is the first time we have both quarrelled in front of him, he was just shocked by the name.
I could even remember some years ago when I and Junk had some misunderstandings. The idiot burned my stomach and even made me cough out blood in front of my father. It took a hell of an effort and Alpha's interference before she finally released me, and I blocked her instantly for about 3 or 4 months without giving her access to the outside world.
That is it. We have the power to block our wolf, but it just took a lot of effort and maximum training. And one thing about Junk: She has respect for elders, especially my father.
"No, she caused it first," Rey replied in defence.
"Firstly, Seer Argon is seeking your attention. After you return, meet me in my chamber to explain how you ended up getting trashed by a fellow girl your age. If Rey hadn't felt the connection between you going off, then you might as well end up dying now, leaving me in grief.” My father lashed out at me.
Even though he tried to come out bold, I could still feel the hurt and sadness in his voice.
“You know the pain of losing your mate,” he said before facing my brother. “And you, Rey,” he said, "three days of detention for you in the angel's room with hard training." My father concluded with a phlegmatic face.
"Only if he had put you in his position, I would have loved to triple it for you." My wolf scoffed in my head. I excluded her and made my way toward Seer Argon's abode because I was not ready for any argument with her again.
My brother and my dad walk ahead of me, and I’m sure nothing will save him from his punishment. He is going to serve it. The look on his face showed that he would get back at me, and I could sense that he meant it.
