Chapter 57

Rey gawked at the sudden silence, puzzled, and for a second he thought that maybe the beast had retreated, that they had defeated it, especially as he saw the creature's blood pooling at the surface of the sea. But at the same time, he had a bad feeling. He didn't expect everything to be so silent.

Rey had barely uttered his thoughts when their vessel rose unsteadily from the water, higher and higher until it was in the air. Rey looked down and saw the sea beast beneath it, its tentacles wrapped all over the ship, while he and his team braced themselves for the crash to come.

The sea monster hurled the ship and it went flying in the air like a baby toy, while Rey and his team held on for their lives, until it finally landed back in the ocean, which made it rock violently.

As the vessel continued rocking on the sea surface violently, Rey and others lost their grip and went sliding across the deck every which way, crashing into the plank as the ship tossed
