Chapter 95
Darius was a well-built soldier with armour made of gold, making it shine brightly in the sun. He was equipped with a war hammer, a long chain, two blades at his back, and a mask covering his face, except for a little space that revealed his yellow eyeball.
"Surrender yourself; maybe we might grant you a merciful death," he announced in a disastrous tone.
He was standing in front of a high wall that seemed impenetrable to his army. All around him, dead soldiers' bodies could be seen. Thousands of crows could also be seen feeding on them happily, and their high-pitched noise filled the whole battlefield.
"And why should we surrender to your army when we could have done a good job by safeguarding our towns and families?" A man replied to Darius threateningly, without any fear.
