Chapter 40. The Alpha’s Wrath

Damian’s voice was low, but it carried the weight of thunder.

“Liam,” he said, his gaze pinning the warrior like a wolf pinning its prey. “Did you know Theo was with Samantha before you betrayed him by taking her for yourself?”

The chamber fell deathly silent. Liam’s fists clenched at his sides, shame rolling off him in waves. His lips parted, and after a moment of strained silence, he whispered, “Yes, Alpha. I knew. But… Samantha told me they were no longer together.”

The words trembled with desperation, yet they echoed clearly in every corner of the room.

Rina’s head jerked toward Theo, her eyes flashing wide. The words hit her like a slap. Samantha… was with his brother too? Her chest tightened with sudden heat, her breaths coming faster. She glared at Theo, suppressed anger twisting her features. Is this why he never wanted her near us? Not because of loyalty or honor… but because she once betrayed him with Liam?

Her thoughts spiraled in bitter fire
