Damon arrived at the healer’s cottage, panting from his run, only to see Madam Brie working swiftly over the injured girl. Her hands moved with precision, applying soothing herbs to the arrow wound while murmuring protective charms.

“She’s stable,” Madam Brie finally announced. “But she’s weak. She needs rest, warmth, and care for at least a few days.”

Damon’s large gray eyes softened as he looked down at Elina, still unconscious on the bed. Despite his guilt, his protective instincts flared. “I… I’ll stay here with her,” he whispered. “I won’t let anything happen to her.”

Madam Brie nodded. “Good. Your presence will help her feel safe once she wakes.”

Lucian appeared shortly after, giving Damon a nod of approval. “You’ve learned an important lesson today, my Alpha. Strength without caution can kill. But now you must protect her, and that includes watching over her while she recovers.”
