“Thank goodness, the moon goddess chose you for me,” Damian breathed, his voice thick with emotion. “I thought I’d lose everything, when you were sick.”
Ella touched his face, brushing away his tears with soft fingers. “But I’m here… I’m with you. And I’m not going anywhere.”
Damian kissed her forehead, then her cheeks, then her lips—soft at first, as if afraid she might break. But as she leaned into him, her hands tangling in his hair, the kiss deepened. Passion and relief flowed between them, their bond stronger than ever.
