Michelle’s POV

I shoot out of bed as my eyes frantically search the room until a hand pulls me into his embrace and that is when I let out a sigh of relief as soon as his scent filters into my nose.

I must have had a very bad dream because the way my body is reacting right now isn’t supposed to be so but I really cannot fathom why my whole body is shaking in such a way.

“Hey, calm down” his soothing voice reaches my ears as he pats my hair lightly, “you are safe okay?”

“Something is not right, Enzo” I tell him, “I can feel it in my bones, something is wrong somewhere but I don’t know how to place it” I slowly pull away from him as I continue to gaze into his eyes.

It was only meant to be a moment with this man but here I am married to him with our lives taking different turns each day.
