Odette’s POV

Seated on the bed, my whole attention is on the computer in front of me. I didn’t stay long in Texas after what happened because I had to rush back to oversee the company and I was too angry to stay with Malachi. I wasn’t upset with him, it wasn’t his fault and it wasn’t like anything happened. I even asked him to let Bryer go, to show her how much power I have over her mate. The intercom on the table rings out lightly, jolting me out of my thoughts.

“Hello”

“Ma’am” the receptionist’s voice filters through, “your husband is here to see you”
