Book 2: Chapter 76

Odette’s POV

As soon as the car pulls up in front of the building, my jaw fucking drops to the ground. This is the Lincoln Center for the performing Arts, one of the most notable opera houses in New York City. I have never been here but I love operas. I guess it’s one of the perks of living amongst humans.

“What are we doing here, Mason?”

“Well” he shrugs, “don’t really know”

Someone opens the car door for me and helps me step out.

“Mrs. Hernandez, we have been waiting for you” he says and I flash him a smile, “I am in charge of taking you inside to your seat”

“Okay?” My eyes dart across the two men.

“I am Brandon, I will be your chaperone for tonight”

“Is my husband here?” I start to look around but I didn’t see a sign of him or his car.

“We will have to go inside to see that” he flashes me a toothed smile again as Mason comes to stand beside me.

“Sister in law, I will come at exactly eight to pick you up, okay?”
