Malachi’s POV
I gulp down the entire glass of water before setting it down and turning my attention to the woman sleeping on the bed.
“Not to worry, her child was not harmed. The knife missed her vital organs, it is a miracle!” The doctor’s voice continues to ring in my head. I was scared, so scared that I would lose her and our child but they are safe and even at that, it annoys me that I couldn’t even protect her when I should have. That moment when I walked into the room and saw her in that state, my brain actually shut down. It was Mason who came back into the room and pulled out of my many thoughts and we rushed her to the hospital. It’s been two days and she hasn’t woken up yet.
My thoughts are interrupted when the door opens up and her parents step in. They have been coming for the past two days and let me be sincere, I would have lost my mind if it wasn’t for their company. I miss my wife so much, I miss her voice and her laughter, I miss everything
