Odette’s POV

The wind flush against my skin, my hair falling all over my face but the smile on my lips remains. It’s been two months since everything happened, two months since Zach was in the hospital and Bryer died. I swear I didn’t know what came over me that day but I guess I was tired of Bryer. I was tired of her hurting the people I cared about.

When I saw Mason with that bomb strapped to him, I lost all of my rationality. The fact that she hired someone to kill Zach even after he confessed his feelings for her is just inhumane. I hated him but he didn’t deserve that kind of ending. He didn’t deserve to be treated like that by someone whom he thought he was protecting.

She didn’t have any iota of empathy in her eyes when she told me the truth. She didn’t look like she regretted it and I don’t regret killing her even though I suffered on my own. I was also stabbed but luckily I didn’t lose my life or that of my child’s. I have healed in two months. Wh
