Book 1: Chapter 42

Michelle’s POV

The scent of something yummy filters into my nostrils and I slowly open my eyes to see Enzo dropping a tray of breakfast on the bedside table.

My face breaks into a smile as soon as I see him, he is my morning dose of happiness.

He is dressed in a gray suit and his hair is pulled back in a neat bun, I genuinely cannot take my eyes off of him. How can one look so good even in the morning?

“Good morning princess” he says and presses a kiss on my lips.

“I haven’t even brushed yet” I can’t help but whine and he scoffs.

“I know that and I don’t care” he straightens up and pats my hair lightly, “have some breakfast and have your medication. They will arrive soon and you can use them as you please. I have an important meeting this morning which I cannot miss”

“Do not worry about me, Enzo” I tell him, “I will be fine”

“Sure about that?”

“Hmmm” I nod, “even if I am not fine, you will be the first person to know that”
