Diana’s POV
We looked at each other and grinned. He sat down in his chair and let out a satisfied sigh, while I sat on the table.
“New face of New York Hotels, huh? Not bad.” I remarked.
He shot me a humorous look before leaning his head back.
“You know it’s all because of you.”
“I do know,” I replied with a matching smirk.
“I just like hearing it from you. Did you see the look on Daniel’s face?”
He snickered as he seemingly recalled the memory. He straightened himself up and faced me.
“Yeah. Did you see Charles’s face in his interview yesterday?”
I didn’t even try to tone down my laughter.
“That pathetic expression he had trying to explain why Wayne’s sales and activity have been declining?! Oh! It’s forever engraved in my mind! It was exhilarating to see him look so uncomfortable!”
