Diana’s POV
“We know how our numbers look. We’re not a good investment. Believe me, I tried convincing a few good companies myself but somehow, they always see the bad reports first. And there goes any chance to help this town.”
I couldn’t bring myself to say that I was one of those people. I felt so ashamed and guilty. When it came to business and the current market, I was taught to always look at the numbers first. They were dependable. They didn’t lie.
But I wasn’t taught to look deeper into those matters. I wasn’t taught to have compassion or creativity, to look past the statistics. And I never bothered. As long as the Harrisons were happy with my work, I knew I did well.
But I was wrong.
Harry was the one who opened my eyes to what truly mattered. I may be the one playing the role of the good wife, but he’s the true angel. We can’t just leave communities like this behind for the sake of the brand or market potential.
