Chapter 27

Dalia’s POV

I could not take my eyes and mind off the flower bouquet even as I continued to work. Why did he give me flowers and a note? My thoughts were all over the place and I could not concentrate on work.

The more I looked at the flower, the more our encounter from earlier played in my mind. Its colorful blooms were a far cry from the conflicting emotions I felt inside of me. I knew there was an unspoken desire between us but I could not shake off the feeling that he had an ulterior motive.

When I could not take it anymore, I carried the bouquet of flowers and went into his office with the intention of asking him what he truly wants from me.

“What exactly do you want from me, Alexander? You’ve been…” The words died down my throat when I saw his chair empty. Oh, he left already.

I went back to my office a bit disappointed. I was looking forward to hearing how he felt about me and what he wanted from me.
