Chapter 39
Dalia’s POV
I waited for Chelsea to come back to the living room. I raised my eyebrow at her and she nodded her head. “He’s gone,” she said loud enough for me to hear. I let out the breath I’ve been holding in and with it came the waterworks.
Chelsea looked at me with pity in her eyes before she moved towards me and hugged me tightly. “Oh, you poor thing,” she said as she hugged me and I let my tears fall freely.
“Do you think I’m making a mistake Chels? Should I have accepted his apology? I like him, I truly do and it pains me to think he might be in pain because of me. What if he’s sincerely sorry and really wants to be with me this time around?” I spewed out a series of questions at Chelsea while still crying.
She did not say a word and held me till my tears subsided and I moved back a bit to look at her face and saw tears in her eyes too. I was alarmed and held her hands gently in mine.
