Chapter 64

Dalia’s POV

The ride to Alexander’s estate was silent, save the music that was being played by Damien. I couldn’t help but notice that there was tension between Chelsea and Damien and I made a mental note to ask her about it later.

Alexander held me close to his chest and constantly gave me forehead kisses. I wasn’t sure if the forehead kisses were supposed to comfort me or if it was a way of assuring himself that I wasn’t going anywhere.

“Do you think Amber will be okay with me staying in your place for a while?” I asked him and he looked at me like I told him that the world is flat.

“She adores you, Angel,” he said as he lifted my chin and placed a quick kiss on my lips. “She’ll be ecstatic to have you to herself and you know that,” he told me and I nodded.

“I’m just worried, you know?” I said before I sniffled and further buried my head into his chest. “Talk to me, angel. What exactly is bothering you?”
