Chapter 78. Love at the First Sight

What Caroline said wasn’t a surprise for Amy. But it was odd Caroline wanted to help Reese though she loved him. If Reese approached Amy, then how would Caroline be? 

“Caro, no need to send my address to Reese. Since you love him, you must fight to win his love. I know you can!”

Caroline shook her head. “I’m not you, Amy. Even if Reese likes me, my family isn’t a rich one. His family won’t approve of me.”

“You don’t know for sure. If you haven’t tried, how can you know?”

“For now, I’m sure Reese only thinks of me as his staff. Nothing’s more.” She let out a long sigh. “I already sent your address to him. It’s up to him if he wants to visit you.”

“Oh, Caro!”

Caroline was quiet for a while, but then she said, “Amy, you are my best friend. In fact, you are like a family to me. If Reese wants you to be his wife, you can accept him. He’s a good guy. He will treat you well.”

“Caro—”

“I need to go back to work. Talk to you later.” Then Caroline
