The following morning, Daniella was surprised to see Lilian waiting for her. She smiled at her sister, but at the same time, she felt guiltier for doing what she promised she wouldn’t do, especially with her ex-husband.

“Hi, Lil,” she greeted Lilian.

“Good morning, Ella. Did Marcus spend the night here?” She questioned immediately upon seeing her, and when Ella’s cheeks flushed, she knew! “However, the air taxi scheduled for us by Alexander’s acquaintance will arrive in thirty minutes. “Are you accompanying us or not?”

Daniella was taken aback when Lilian casually inquired about Marcus as if he were often present.

“Of course I’m returning home, but Lil, I gave Marcus another opportunity.” She informed Lilian about her true relationship with Marcus.

“I’m sure you’re giving him more than a chance,” Lilian replied with a grin toward Daniell
