Keila's POV

"Dad, where's Hailey?" As nervous as I was until now, my heart was still beating too fast. I don't know what I will do if something bad happens to Hailey. "What happened?" I fight back my tears. I don't want to cry in front of Dad. I need you to be strong for us.

He took a deep breath. "He said he needs surgery; they need to remove some of his tumor cells. He's in the operating room."

I closed my hand. I wish I was the only one in the operating room. I wish I was the only one sick and not Hailey. He's too young to go through all this. "They agreed to operate on him even though we didn't give any money?" I will ask.

"I talked to Mr. Song; he said he would take care of it, but we have to give it within a week." Anyway, I breathed a sigh of relief. "Son, I will talk to my boss if I can borrow money from him."

I thought of his boss again, who has no core of evil. I won't let Dad go back there. "
