On our way home from Carrington’s, Kimmy called.

“Hey,” I said excitedly. “What’s up?”

“Well, everyone thought you and Nathan needed a break. We are all coming over with pizza,” Kimmy said.

“It’s a nice gesture, but you don’t need to do that,” I replied.

“Nonsense, we are already on our way,” Kimmy scoffed. “I hope you don’t mind, but I invited Madison, too.”

“That’s fine. We are about 10 minutes away from home, but Zander is there if you beat us,” I advised.

“See you soon,” Kimmy said and hung up the phone.
