Chapter 199. Mixed Emotions

Nathan’s POV

The limo ride home was fun. Logan was absolutely beaming after the game. Eliza was super chatty with Morgan, Madison, and Kimmy. Paul, Dante, Dutton, and Zander were fighting over who was going to win the Stanley Cup. I honestly had the best situation. Amelie was snuggled up beside me, and I got to watch all my friends and family be happy. For the past five years, I’ve thought of nothing but studying and work. Well, I was also chasing women in an endless search for something. None of it fulfilled me. I didn’t know what I was really searching for. Now, I realize what was missing all along was sitting next to me with her fingers laced through mine and lying on my shoulder. I sighed. My Amelie. My love. I want to give her the world, as she has given me. I feel like I have a purpose in life that I’ve never had before.
