I can’t keep my eyes off of Amelie. Unfortunately, all the guys at the gala can’t either, and it’s really starting to piss me off. I know Amelie loves me and is mine for the rest of time, but I want to gouge their eyes out for looking at her.

“Is something wrong, baby?” Amelie asked me.

“Yes,” I said, gritting my teeth. “I don’t like how all the men here are looking at you.”

Amelie reached up her hand to stroke my face. “Nate, you know you’re the only one I see, right?”

“I know, kitten,” I sighed. “But I just don’t like all the guys seeing you.”

“That’s what you get for having a hot wife,” Amelie joked.

“You’re not helping,” I mumbled.

“Oh no, Mr. Grumpy Pants,” Amelie teased.
