I sat at the desk in the office and stared at the pile of letters in front of me. I’m actually scared of what these letters say. What if it completely destroys the image of my happy family that I hold so dearly in my memories?

I lay out all the letters in the stack and sort them by date. My fingers skim over the first letter. Well, here goes nothing.

Thank you for your letter. I must say I was quite surprised by it. Thank you so much for the compliments. I try to be happy all the time. Life really is too short to be angry or sad.
