Nathan’s POV

Salvatore’s men stopped me from beating the living hell out of Jonathan. As soon as my consuming anger subsided, my brain began to think.

“Amelie!” I said and rushed to the person wrapped in the blanket. What the fuck? It wasn’t Amelie; it was Mr. Duval, and he appears to have several wounds.

“Franklin?” I asked.

“Nathan, help me, I need to go to the emergency room,” he said, holding up his hand for a second, then dropping it. “There was a horrible accident.”

It looked like he had lost a lot of blood. I checked the wounds.

“Franklin, you’ve been stabbed,” I exclaimed. “Who did this to you?”
