By the time we got to the main deck, everyone was starting to eat lunch. It looked so good, but my father’s voice in the back of my head was speaking loud and clear. ‘Rich men don’t want fat wives, Madison.’ I took a bit of fish and a small amount of salad.

“Is that all you’re eating, Madison?” Paul asked.

“Yes, I’m trying to watch my weight,” I advised.

“You burned more than that just snorkeling,” Paul told me. “Plus, you get more to eat, and I’ll watch your body.” He smirked.

“Are you being naughty, Paul?” I asked, shyly.

“What if I was?” Paul said, leaning against me and looking into my eyes.
