Kane spoke firmly, his warm voice conveying reassurance to Lani. She nodded, expressing her feelings.
“Let’s discuss this in a year or two. I believe that would be the right time to prepare for parenthood. Currently, I honestly don’t feel ready.”
Lani’s voice was soft and carried a hint of hesitation as if she had revealed something personal. Kane embraced Lani, comforting her with gentle strokes on her back.
“It’s all fine. Right now, if you say you don’t want to have a child, I have no right to object.”
“Don’t think about it too much. Go to sleep. Aren’t you planning to go out for a pastry ad shoot tomorrow?”
